Meanwhile former Pakistan’s Ambassador to
the US Sherry Rehman has also condemned the
violent crackdown on PTI workers and stated
on his official twitter account that PTI
workers/supporters should keep in mind that
this is Nawaz Sharif government and not of
Pakistan Peoples Party.
Tehreek-e-Insaf workers had staged a sit-in
outside Punjab Assembly as PTI has alleged
rigging in PP-150 constituency during by-polls.
Police arrested PTI leaders Mehmood-ur-
Rasheed, Andleeb Abbas, Ejaz Chaudhry. Mehar
Wajid and several workers. Imran Khan has
also condemned the act of Punjab police and
has demanded immediate release of workers.
Meanwhile Federal Information Minister
Pervaiz Rashid has said that all the workers of
PTI have now been released after orders from
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Sherry Rehman Tweet:
Indeed @alisalmanalvi ear
#PTI, it’s not a #PPP govt that
you’ll stage a peaceful protest
and get away with it. It’s a
#PMLN govt now.
